Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1, 1995, at Berkeley California) is an actor. She is an actress from America that has appeared on screen in Choices (2010) and The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).
Asia Argento began her career as an actress at the age of nineteen in Rome. The family she is from is also a group of filmmakers. The Church, directed by Michele Soavi, was her first film role. The following year she played Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon It was in the film Close Friends written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career took off, and she could change from portraying young girls, to larger, more sophisticated characters. Cannes International Film Festival was a great movie's success. In Trauma she acted in her first film with her father, famed Italian horror director Dario Argento her mother is one of his favorite actors, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl on the lookout for her parents' killer. Asia's intense way of performance was well utilized in the film Condannato a nozze. The actress co-starred alongside Carlo Verdone in Perdiamoci di perspective as Arianna an actress with physical handicap. This intricate and difficult role won her a David di Donatello award for Best Actress. In 1995 she co-starred with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again won her the David di Donatello and a Grolla oro. Asia's first short film was an episode of the De Generazione movie. Two years following, Asia became a director and completed two other films. One of them, AbelAsia was a homage for her father. Asia's feature directing debut was Scarlet Diva, in which she starred as the lead actress and also wrote the screenplay. The film was released May 20, 2000 across Italy as well as other countries. The film was awarded an award at the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
